Thanks to Marie Pepin for sending emails to Sassaquin Pond neighbors, our visits to the pond site topped over 50 for the past week. Keep visiting the site to get more information about the pond. Latest post 3/24/2012 Engineering Solutions for Sassaquin Pond from Ron LaBelle NB DPI. Please scroll the index page to read about this conceptual plan. Also check out the new photo posted on the picture gallery page, looks fishy to me.

The web site hit an all time record of 28 hits on Nov. 23, 2011, what a great way to get those turkey fixings done and keep informed of pond goings on.
We sent a quick email to Ron LaBelle(NB DPI) last week, because of the large number of sea gulls at the pond. The problem seems to have been corrected.
Thanks Ron

Pond ph levels remain good

Pond ph levels remain good in latest testing. A 6.18 ph level was recorded on August 18, 2011. This testing was done in the Pepin beach area on the west side of the pond. With the summer "swimming season" drawing to an end this is very good news. If anyone else has some testing results they would like to share please contact me at sass11@comcast.net

Pond ph level shows minimal increase

The latest water sample test taken near Pepin's Beach shows a minimal increase in ph level to 6.56, an earlier test had the ph at 6.00. This last test was taken on 7-13-2011. This is as stated a minimal increase. It will be interesting to see what happens to these levels as the hot sunny weather of late July and August takes hold. Thanks for your continued interest.
Test results will post as soon as they are made known.
